We have a not so secret-secret

There is this one blog, that Tea and I especially love {to stalk}. And we will share and wanted to say a little thing to her (:
Look how cute they are!! (source)
We love the blog He and I. And were so excited when she announced the big news about her little family! We enjoyed looking at her old blog (that apparently crashed or some other shenanigans) and seeing how her and her hubs met and her little adventures that we totally wish we could have.
They are pretty much the cutest of the cute (:

So, Alexa, we would like to say congratulations and we are so stinkin' excited for you!

We hope this new adventure will be a fun one, and that blessings will continue to come your way. (:

Xx Tea&Kay

P.s. where in the world did you get your princess waffle iron????
P.p.s. as soon as we saw your post, we totally freaked out and started calling the bub a Zurchling sooooo... we're glad you did too ;)

No Make-up December

Was nice. Through not wearing makeup I am more comfortable with not wearing makeup, and I feel less self-consious with not wearing any in public. BUT, I got very impatient with the month for a little while and could not wait till january. So, I kind of killed this experience a little bit, but it does show how much I depend on makeup. So, like I said in the beginning, it was nice. It was nice to get ride of my little 'addiction' of always wearing makeup. It was nice rubbing my eyes without messing up my makeup. It was nice whenever I cried (I think they were all happy/spiritual cryings so it was good) my mascara didn't run. I would definetly say that I have grown, even if just a little bit (:
So, I would like to thank Miss Katherine again for sharing and deciding to do this yourself. (:

I want to brag...

About my wonderful friend Sir Scarlet Raptor. He would be terribly embarrassed if he read this, but I am going to risk it. He is such a gentleman! It is wonderful! I was at my seminary class Christmas party where we watched the original Miracle on 34th St. Which was pretty good! And afterward, I was in my car getting ready to go de-ice it with my massive ice scraper when Sir Scarlet Raptor came up and told me that i could back out of the driveway before him, and then I told him of my plan of de-icing and he whipped out his YMCA membership card and helped me! It was rather funny to be quiet honest, but still. This is just one example of how he is a gentleman and a wonderful friend.

So thank you Sir Scarlet Raptor for going out of your way to be a gentleman!

So I am done bragging about my friend.

So, while I am writing this post (it is about 10:40PM) I thought I would share this link. This girl Miss Sophia Mayrhofer has the cutest style! Here is the link to her lookbook and to her blog (which is about her travels etc.)

okay, enough for tonight!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

A story about a girl and a cake...

(Sneaky peak at my real name...)

Its confession time.
Right here, right now.
This week was hard for me.
And this weekend was hard for me.
Even though we did all these cool things like pie making and Christmas sweater wearing and throwing an awesome party, I was secretly down in the dumps.
Horrible, right?
Well, after babysitting for 10 hours, I trudged in the door at 2:30am Monday Morning and found this.
A cake.
Especially for me.
With notes that made me giggle.
And lifted my heart.
I hadn't told anyone I was sad.
I tried to be as bubbly and cheerful as can be.
But they knew.
And they brought me cake :)
So thankyou, secret bestfriends, for thinking of me.
You put a smile on my dial!

ps. Do you want your plate back...?

She's my hero

Its my pretty mama's birthday today!
And she's practically perfect in every way :)

Age 18. Basically a heartbreaker.
Isn't she cute?
Like I said, heartbreaker...
Paris 2010
I love it when she sings along to the radio.
And when we dance together in the kitchen.
And when she says I'm her favourite
(although we all know she doesn't pick favourites)
I love that she pretends to be gangster sometimes.
And makes up funny nicknames for me.
And when we have tickle fights.
At the dinner table.
Or read books in her bed.
I especially love when we find something that's not funny at all.
But we laugh so hard we cry.
And that my Grammie says I'm exactly like her
Because there's no one else I'd rather be :)

Toy Story ruined my life...

For those who haven't seen Toy Story (where have you been??) here is a quick synopsis:
Toys are alive and rule the Room while the kids are gone.
New, Cooler toy is introduced.
Favourite Toy is jealous.
Favourite gets replaced by new Toy
Mayhem ensues
Everything is resolved and Favourite Toy & New Toy become BFFs.

Since I grew up with this movie, I grew up with the thought that all inanimate objects have feelings. So it was with a very very sad heart that I sold my poor Nikon D70s for a Canon T1i.
I felt horrible. Like I was selling my baby.

Nikon, you've been good to me. In the words of my father, I hope you go to a nice new home where the people will love and appreciate you. xx

Ironic that I took these pictures with my new camera? I think yes. I try not to dwell on it...

This will be a bit wordy...

Okay you guys. Lately, I haven't been the happiest. I have had spurts here and there of happiness (like the past few days). I think stress has been getting to me with being a senior, applications, SAT, and so on and so on. I read this post form miss Katherine and I knew what I needed to do.
So, for the month of December I am not going to wear makeup, and I am going to spend more time doing service. So Katherine, thank you. I needed to hear this song and be reminded of who I am and feel that I am so much more than my little stressed out life.

I hope everyone has a wonderful December! (:

Clean your room!

This week, a certain girl didn't clean her room, so her parents locked a certain computer that is used for blogging. But now the room is clean, the girl is back, and what we're thankful for is once again listed below :)

 We are thankful for bestfriends.
We are thankful for music to sing along to.
We are thankful for little adventures to the mall.
We are thankful for baby potatoes.
We are thankful for family time.
We are thankful for compliments & confidence-boosters.
We are thankful for little prayers throughout the day.
We are thankful for Mama K.
(Happy Birthday!)
We are thankful for bubble baths.
We are thankful for things that inspire.
And we are thankful for being thankful, because it shows us the tender mercies we're blessed with everyday :)

An Ode to a Bestfriend

"Your family's rad,
and I wish that they were here today,
but they're thousands and thousands of miles away..."
-"Two Weeks in Hawaii" Hellogoodbye

 (totally stolen from Facebook)

Once upon a time there lived a beautiful girl with hair the colour and consistency of Ramen Noodles.
This girl was a shining light to anyone and everyone she came across. She couldn't help it!
People were just drawn to her like moths to a flame.
She happened into our lives one day, the girl with the hair.
She introduced to us her light and her love, and we were smitten.
She taught us new pet names and how to really dance.
She always had a song in her heart, and a smile that was so contagious you were instantly infected.
We began to wonder how we had ever functioned without her!
But as suddenly as she had come into our lives, she was gone.
Off to bless others in her new home of Hawaii.
And though our hearts are aching a little without her, we know that she will always be there for us.
No matter what.
We wish we could be greedy and keep her here with us forever, but we know we can't.
She has worked her magic with us, and now she is needed to spread it elsewhere.
A light like hers can't be contained.
This gorgeous girl is meant for great things :)

Today we are so so so thankful for our friendship with Megy, and we know that oceans can't compare to eternity ;)
Good luck in your new home pretty girl! x

Dear World, Thankyou for existing

Oh Sunday :)
An extra hour of sleep.
(Which was needed after an intense Family Game Night)
Fasting.
Testimony meeting.
Seeing Miss Courtney :)
Sunday School.
Meeting people in the hallway.
Young Women's.
Afternoon naps in Mama's bed.
Cute kids.
Warm deliciousness.
Brownies for dessert.
Do you ever have those days where you're amazed at how wonderful everything is?
Today was one of those days.
Just realizing the little things God has put in my life makes my heart burst with happiness!
Loving life :)

Its getting chilly. And I don't mean the kind you eat.

(^^From the 5 year old I babysit. Adorable.)

It was cold today! Legit cold. Like, upper 40's cold.
But we're totally cool with this (haha, get it?)
Becauseeeee it means we can get all cozy in our coats.
And frolic in the leaves till our cheeks are red and we can't feel our toes.
Then go inside and drink copious amounts of hot chocolate.
And read good books in front of a fire
Or watch Once Upon A Time.
With comfy blankets.
Bliss.

Tea... Taking the SAT for the very last time! Woot woot.
Kay... Pad Thai. Super delicioso :)

Hello Friday, we're so glad you're here...

La la la its Fridayyyyyy!! Great day? For sure. Friday's totally make up for Thursdays, and today was no exception :) SO. We're thinking in honor of how awesome this day is, we'll post like 5 things we're thankful for instead of just 1. But first.... Remember this photo challenge? Well we've finally made it to Day 3 :) It was kinda hard to take pictures of clouds since we live under a cloud cover and they are basically the sky, but in my Adv. Painting class we were doing cloud silhouettes! Perfect, right? We were allowed to take them home today and though mine's not completely done (so you'll only get a glimpse), I'm still pre proud of it...

Kay... 30% off. Seeing Texas at the mall. Mustard colored scarves. Cute boys in the car next to us. Stalking monks ;)
Tea... Dry shampoo for gross hair days. Kit Kats. Making up committees. Lunchtime conversations. "The Island" during Civics. Everyday family life (see below)

While preparing dinner...
Tea: "Oh the cleverness of me!" NAME THAT MOVIE
Sister: PETER PAN!! The one with beautiful Jeremy Sumpter.
Dad: You mean Jeremy Scrumptious!
Tea & Sister: ...

A little bit of nailpolish and a little bit of sleep...

Thursdays are hands down the hardest day of the week.
But I'm glad they exist, because they make every other day that much better :)

Tea... Naps after school :) Since I fell asleep in nearly all of my classes today, it was well needed.
Kay... Spending time with friends and having awesome nails.

As always, we heart you 5 elephants Xx

Happy Winds-day

The above day name change is credited to Winnie the Pooh, a wise old bear :)
Today was an amazing day. Seriously, ah-mazing. The world turns into such a great place when you're on the lookout for things to be thankful for/blog about! My feet were skipping and my heart was singing ALLLL day :) You really can't help it when you live in a place like this:

And of course:

Kay... The no seminary/late start schedule we have on Wednesdays! Don't get me wrong, we love seminary, but its awesome to get to sleep in 2 extra hours in the middle of the week :)
Tea... 3rd period. I know I say this a lot, but its basically my class that comes with a smile/laughter guarantee and that's pretty awesome :)

An Attitude of Gratitude :)

"We can lift ourselves, and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude."
-Thomas S. Monson

November is one of the prettiest months! Bright leaves mix with the evergreens. People wear coats and boots and mittens and scarves knitted by their grandmas. Fires glow and heat homes. Mugs of warm deliciousness are found in the hands of many. Everything just seems a little cozier, you know? November is also the month of Thanksgiving and we have decided we don't want to wait till the 24th to be thankful!
We want an attitude of gratitude Every. Single. Day.
SO that's what we'll be posting each day this month. One thing we're grateful for. Or two. Or three. Or four :)
Are you ready?

Tea... Spending Senior Skip Day at the mall, then on the couch watching One Upon A Time with two of my bestfriends. (If you haven't seen this show yet, go to Hulu right now. Its amazing.)
Kay... Study Hall in Personal Essay aka Talking to a cute boy non-stop for an hour. Time well spent ;)
